The Corporate Volunteer Council of Montgomery County (CVC) develops strategic partnerships between businesses and non-profit organizations in the community. Over the past 25 years the CVC has accumulated the resources and developed relationships and experience with government agencies, business leaders, and their employee volunteers to help non-profit organizations achieve their goals.
Although the CVC does not assist with fundraising, the Board of Directors can help promote a non-profit organization and volunteer opportunities. Through monthly program meetings, the Annual Luncheon, and the CVC’s own service projects for our members, the business community can engage with non-profit organizations in an informal, productive and meaningful way. CVC members are dedicated corporate citizens with many skilled and caring volunteers who want to learn and make a difference in their community.
The CVC’s Volunteer Development Committee consists of business leaders and trained professionals in corporate social responsibility. The committee works with various community organizations in Montgomery County to identify volunteer opportunities, promote requests for materials and volunteers, and highlights their success stories to raise awareness and visibility. The CVC educates businesses and non-profit organizations about the numerous benefits of a thoughtful, well-planned employee volunteer program for all participants. By working together, the CVC, its business members and non-profit organizations have a greater impact in our community.
